The GE WB2X9883 Charcoal Microwave / Hood Range Filter is a GE Compatible recirculating charcoal microwave filter for use with non-ducted over the range microwaves. This microwave oven filter recirculates and filters cooking odors when the microwave oven is not vented to the outside and fits most non-convection microwave models. This oven hood filter can also be used for odor elimination via the use of the microwave fan when cooking on your range stove. Additionally, this particular aluminum grease filter can be used on many non-ducted as well as ducted range stove vent hoods which are entirely separate from the microwave.
The GE Compatible WB2X9883 is constructed of a sheet of charcoal fiber overlaid on one side with an aluminum meshing and is made to absorb odors and prevent them from recirculating in to future meals as well as the air in your home.
Dirty microwave filters create more strain on your microwave and range stove vent fan which limits their lifespan. This filter should be replaced every 6-9 months depending on specific microwave and range vent usuage. The dimensions of this GE grease filter replacement are approximately 11 1/8 inches L x 6 1/8 inches W.
