The Pentek R50 Replacement for Hydronix SPC-25-1050 replacement water filter cartridge is designed to capture coarse sand, rust, and scale particles. The high dirt-holding capacity is ideal for use with well-water. Manufactured around a pleated polypropylene core with ends immersed in a thermo-setting vinyl plastisol, the filter easily meets the demands of modern filtration systems. In addition, each of the filter’ s pleats are arranged and fused along with the core and end caps resulting in a unified design. The overlap seam is sonically welded to reduce internal bypass improving filtration efficiency.
