The Culligan RWC-5 String Wound Carbon Filter is a replacement water filter cartridge that reduces the bad taste and odor of chlorine as well as sediment. Culligan classifies the RWC-5 polypropylene string wound carbon water filter as offering Level 1 Basic Filtration. The Culligan RWC-5 is made for point of use water filtration, especially under sink applications. The Culligan RWC-5 filter has a polypropylene string wound outer layer which gives it a high capacity for filtering sediment, dirt, and other particulates, while the internal material is made of granular activated carbon (GAC) for the reduction of the unpleasant taste and odor of chlorine.
